Disneyland & Follies de Mwah!

DisneylandI’m flying to HongKong for a few days beginning tomorrow, Sunday for some much needed rest, check out Disneyland (?) and (hate this part) some business meetings with potential business partners. Haha! I wonder when I could go off traveling purely for pleasure.

If I’m able to access my blog from there (there’s shouldn’t be no problem with wi-fi connection at the Novotel CityGate Hotel, hopefully), I can definitely write some new posts. Just in case I’m unable to do so, there will be no updates in next few days. However, I am leaving a post for a Charity Social Event organized by my Tita for the Mary The Shepherdess Institute Inc. This is totally off topic for my blog, but I felt some nice charity plugging should be alright. Don’t you agree?

The event is dubbed “Rekindling the Spirit” and will be held at Club MWAH, a new exciting and upscale club in Metro Manila. This will be on 20 April, 2008 (Sunday) starting at 2:00pm. Tickets are worth Php1,000.00.

About the event

Club Mwah! This is a fund raising event for the mission, Mary The Shepherdess Institute, Inc. (check out their new site hosted here in Bloggista.com). It aims to help the group in sustaining their mission and efforts towards “Rekindling the Spirit” by accepting ‘partial’ sponsorship on this forthcoming fund raiser.

Club MWAH features Bedazzling Follies and Broadway, a funny, fabulous and totally entertaining production that is already becoming a very popular tourist attraction. Check out Club MWAH’s website for details of its word-class funny entertainment which is frequented by many celebrities and even politicians.

Club MWAH is at 3F The Venue Tower, 852 Boni Ave., Mandaluyong City.

About the mission

Women, children and men in countless numbers have suffered as a consequence of abuse in all its forms (emotional, physical, sexual and/or deprivation). Having lost connection with their spirit, many suffer in silence; sensing not only an emptiness and inability to trust, but also for some, endless shame and terror.

Through the Mary The Shepherdess Institute, Inc. counseling services, retreats, seminars and support group sessions, the Mission aspires to empower these victims to reclaim their dignity and freedom.

All sponsorship proceeds and Donations will help the Mission in many ways.

Hey guys. Just came back. Whew, the wifi charge at Novotel is outrageous! 40dollars an hour. Besides, had a great time going around the place - disneyland, the rides there. Then ocean park - took the roller coaster, raging water (a hell of a drop on a small kayak boat), abyss (by the name itself, its a free-fall drop to abyss from about 20-storey building!), cable car crossing mountains and sea and lot more. HK is fun, shopping is also awesome - with lots of branded stuff at bargain prices. The hotel is just beside Citygate outlet mall - an upscale mall where you can buy lots of designer products at half the price! Bought a florsheim shoe for only 2000pesos (vs. 6K in Manila), you can buy Bally shoes for less than 6K pesos. HK was fun. Forgot about blogging for a while.

Thanks all for dropping by. Kengkay, will post pics in my http://blogrebel.wordpress.com blog. :-)
