Shutdown day
On 03 May 2008, Shutdownday.org is spearheading a campaign urging mankind to switch off their computers for a day - a pretty ambitious and tough undertaking. Below is the message on their website:

It is obvious that without computers we would find our life extremely difficult, maybe even impossible. If they disappeared for just one day, would we be able to cope?

Be part of one of the biggest global experiments ever to take place on the Internet. The idea behind Shutdown Day is to find out how many people can go without a computer for one whole day, and what will happen if we all participate!

Shutdown your computer on 03 May 2008 and find out!

I have taken my action. I decided to support this outrageous idea. And I resolved that I will spend the day going to the shopping malls (which I haven’t done for quite some time, except when I was in HongKong the other week).

I also pledged to go out fishing, or play some sports, watch movie and make love all night. Hahaha. I just realized there are a lot of things you can do in a day away from your computer.

Shutdown day can or cannotGo check out the site and take your actions as well. It’s just a simple clicking of the “I Can” or “I Cannot” button.

What is your choice?
