There is an interesting article on a leading money publication in their latest issue for June about Retirement. It discusses perhaps the most challenging question that one faces in retirement planning - estimating or guessing your lifespan. Although my age is still at its prime, but the article struck me big time.

It’s no joke - and I even asked myself, when will I plan to retire, and how long will I live to enjoy my retirement? Will I ever have something to make me enjoy my retirement? Unfortunately in the Philippines, retirement is something that the government bothers to not to mind at all. If you plan to retire well, then its up to the individual to prepare for it. Perhaps one of the best way to prepare for retirement is to run for a political post or be appointed in the Presidential Cabinet.

Some Statistics (or estimates):

• Life expectancy in the U.S. - 78 years (at birth).
• Life expectancy at your age? 20.8 years for a 60-year old man on the average.

Probabilities (based on a 60-year old man):

• Hitting 90 years old - 19% (or 81% probably won’t make it to 90 years old).
• If one reaches 95 years old, then 22% chance to getting to 100.

Everyone who’s into Passive Income business is probably familiar with the Story of the Pipeline, starring Pablo and Bruno. I too learned about this great and inspiring story when at one time, I got into an awesome group that are educating people about passive income earning and are really doing well with the business. There I saw lots people from all walks of life - even my previous ‘Bosses’ and colleagues. And it was during these times that my eyes were opened to the reality that there is really indeed a way to earn income “passively.”

Well this post is not about this group (however, if you are interested, I can introduce you to this “offline” program as well). This is about a story of two friends from a village that dreamt of making it big someday. This story made me realize what to do with my life from there on.

Latest Pacquiao - Diaz Fight Update: For the Round by Round update, check it out here.

The upcoming Pacquiao vs Diaz Fight in Las Vegas on June 28, 2008 (morning of June 29 in Manila) is such an exciting slug fest that people were sent to my blog checking for updates of the said fight.

It has already become a good business for Moviehouses. Since last week, most tickets to the live telecast of the fight are already sold out in most popular theaters. For an average of Php500.00 to Php 800.00, you get to watch the fight on the big screen, with lots of other crowd. Most packages come with free food - what a way to enjoy the fight isn’t it? Definitely, the streets in Metro Manila will once again be free of the usual sight - you can even play marbles along the highways and in EDSA.

This is probably one of the most blogged topic - making money online. So I am adding a new one to its statistics.

Everywhere you go online, you see those banner and text ads telling people how much they have earned online and for some amount, you can buy their secrets in making money online.

But - Is It Really Possible To Earn Money Online? The answer is a YES, and a NO. Yes, anyone can make money online, and No, it is not as easy as what people tell you. And it takes a lot of hardwork, open-mindedness and common sense to know that anyone can earn money online with only a few dollar investments.

They are everywhere. These people are like predators, looking for mostly willing and uninformed preys. Most scammed people are partly guilty of the crime. It is the desire to earn money “easily” that drawn people to “scammers”. And I don’t have to elaborate why - I was also scammed before.
