Just thinking someone might have an answer to this. Does it make me sound more professional if I send a job application with the official e-mail address from my present office? or is it the contrary?

It’s not that big of a deal, but it looks a little unprofessional. You should have either a) an edu address if you are a student, b) a regular dot-com address if you work somewhere, or c) a Gmail address. Like it or not, Gmail is the accepted standard for email these days. If you’re still using AOL, you’re basically telling me you’re several years behind the curve.

hi. i’m getting a good laugh here, not only with your post, but also because of the comments:) … so might as well join the fun. can’t help but ask if your example – “street_hunk125@yohoo.com” was a typo (for yohoo.com) or intentional .. hehe.

anyways, this post is certainly a good tip, and a helpful one for job seekers, aside from being entertaining

Yep. I agree. An applicant should ensure that his email address sounds professional and reflects his full name so that his credibility could not be undermined.

But anyway that is just the tip of the iceberg. One should do well during his exam(s) and interview(s).
