New Money Making Scheme from Google: Adsense For Domains
There’s a new program that Google is cooking for all Adsense Publishers – maximizing revenue on undeveloped Domains with the new feature Adsense For Domains. This new program allows Publishers to put ads on undeveloped or parked Domains, by providing relevant ads, searches and information for visitors who happen to visit the site.
This is great news since ads on these pages convert well – probably because visitors don’t have any other option to get out but through the featured ads and listings. I have a dozen of “undeveloped” domains so I better start preparing those domains.
However, Adsense for Domains is only available to North America publishers at the moment, but Google have promised to extend this product to all publishers worldwide soon. After the jump is the announcement from Google posted at the Inside AdSense group page.
Extending AdSense for domains to all Publishers
Many publishers have approached us looking for a way to monetize their domains, and today, we’re excited to announce the expansion of AdSense for domains. This product allows publishers to earn revenue through ads placed on undeveloped domains. With AdSense for domains, users can find relevant information rather than see empty pages or “page not found” errors.
Today we present ads, links, and search results on the pages, and may add other useful information in the future. To ensure positive user experience and the quality of our network, these sites are monitored for policy compliance and prohibited from using text and images designed to confuse users. Advertisers also have additional opportunities to find their customers, and ads on these pages convert well. In addition, we regularly receive requests from advertisers who have found domains to be an effective way to reach their users.
The product will be initially rolled out in phases to English-language AdSense publishers located in North America, and we’ll expand to additional regions and languages in the future. To check whether AdSense for domains has been enabled for your account, log in and visit your AdSense Setup tab. For more information, please visit our Help Center.

I’ve set up a dozen domains for a test on the new Google Adsense For Domains. I plan on running for a few months – we’ll see if its worthwhile. I will keep a running update on clicks and revenue on http://pbarnhart.wordpress.com/testing-adsense-for-domains/
So far I’m up 64 cents!

Yeah, in my case, its always a challenge to develop all the domains you bought at once. But with this new feature, it would be easier to park domains and with some potential revenues, however small they still are earnings.

however, the problem with this scheme is that web searches will definitely go crazy because of this. Searches for topics will most likely land on adsense only-pages due to SEO maximization and content full sites will be buried deep down on SERPs.

This is probably what Google needs to take care of. Imagine searching for terms and the first 10 pages are all parked domains. I don’t think Google will allow it in the first place….
So this leaves the question – will this be worth the effort? So better check out Phil’s progress as well.

Before they offered this to only very large clients. Now anyone owning extra doains will be able to make themselves and Google a buck.

Hi Ed, thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment here. Although there were those who provided Parking services where they put some ads and you earn from it as well, I guess doing it yourself will give better and bigger returns. But then again the question is – will it give substantial earnings, I doubt. But an experiment to find out won’t hurt so will give this a try.

Yep, it will be interesting to test. As long as it covers costs plus a little bit more, it’s something worth trying to maximize.

Hehehe, kunting antay nalang bro. But I guess you’ll generate more revenue if you just install wordpress, make a single static post and put ads.
. I got one site, http://www.saascontinuity.com – it’s not yet developed but I just installed WP, and it does gave some earnings – just a little.

That’s nice to know bro. Although if you have like less than 20 parked sites, I guess the better option is still to at least install Wordpress on those domains, make a static page and put those ads.
But if you have like hundreds of them, then surely this feature will be of great help.
