Pacquiao-Hatton Fight Predictions and Betting Odds
Clearly, Manny “the Pacman” Pacquiao enjoys popular support over his opponent Ricky “the Hitman” Hatton.
Only a few internet site or blog are saying Hatton will triumph over Pacquiao during their fight on May 2, 2009 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Even the simple poll ran on this blog a few months back shows Pacquiao will beat Hatton by a TKO.
As of this writing, the poll Pacquiao vs Hatton: Who Will Win? has the following initial results:
- Pacquiao by TKO (85.0%, 211 Votes)
- Hatton by TKO (10.0%, 24 Votes)
- Pacquiao by Decision (4.0%, 9 Votes)
- Hatton by Decision (2.0%, 4 Votes)
- Draw (0.0%, 0 Votes)
85%, or about 211 believe that Pacquiao will knock out Hatton, in contrast, only 10% believe Hatton will TKO the Pacman.
And only a small percentage predict that the Pacquiao vs Hatton fight will end on the judges’ score cards.
But still, these are predictions, and the final verdict will be known once the punches are thrown in the ring on May 2, 2009.
In the Philippines, the live telecast of the Pacquiao-Hatton fight will be shown in many cinemas across the country, with tickets at about Php550.00 (or about USD12.00), with free snacks.
On the other hand, bettors have favored Manny Pacquiao as well, with 2-1 betting odds over the slugger from Great Britain.
Initial betting in Las Vegas revealed that Pacquiao has 215 betting odds (you win US$1.00 for every US$2.15 you bet on Manny Pacquiao). Hatton has 185 betting odds (a US$1.00 bet wins US$1.85).
It’s minus 140 odds that the fight will go at least in the 10th round or later, and plus 120 odds that the fight will last until the 10th round or less.
While the Pacquiao camp is confident of a win, Ricky Hatton and trainor Floyd Mayweather, Sr. believe Manny will be knocked out on the 6th round.
Another exciting fight isn’t it? What do you think of these Pacquiao-Hatton predictions? Ohh, you can still participate in our poll below.

Hatton is too confident he will beat the hell out of Pacquiao. If his mouth is as lethal as his punches, then the Pacman has all the reasons to worry.
In fact, I’m giving it (as of this moment) 60-40 in favor of Hatton.

actually, what i fear most against hatton for manny is his power. the sheer power of hatton could do lots of damage for manny. so pacman should do more on the tactical side of his fight. this is now not really a brawl for him, but a technical fight.
im on 60-40 right now for pacman

Totally agree with you bro.
Hatton is a better fighter than De la Hoya – perhaps twice as strong, and twice as determined than the Pretty Boy.
Pacquiao should be very careful. And concentrate on boxing first – before politics or more movies with Ara.

I don’t like Pacquiao nowadays because of his antics. I don’t like Hatton too. Hay, sa referee ako. ^_^

Agree with you Metz. Pacquiao is too distracted in maximizing his earnings lately.
And he plans to enter politics. Then all his earnings will not be enough. For sure politicians and political handlers will probably enjoy his money.

Hehe, go go bro! Kaya mo yan. My ranking is actually declining these past two months as i have been too busy with other projects.
There’s no substitute in making sure your blog has fresh contents. Its one of the few best way to generate traffic that comes back regularly.

pacman rules. hatton’s fans already bought 5,000 tickets to crowd the venue. i’ve seen youtube vids of his fight with mayweather. The brit is a tough nut to crack.

Wow, sana naka 1 percent man lang ako dun sa sales. LOL.
Yep, Hatton is real tough. He has the power to knock out Pacquiao. He says he can knock out Pacman – Pacman should be scared.

Sabi nang maraming sports enthusiasts and critics, manny daw treats sports as business rather than as a passion. Syempre, if he’s not making any money out of it, I doubt kung boxing parin siya till the end.
Sometimes we are blinded by Filipino pride, kasi si pacman kahit ano ang sabihin, second agenda nalang ang Filipino people. Avid supporter din ako (di ngalang fan kasi kakahiya ang english, sorry to say, pinagtatawan nga sa commercials and sa youtube).
Sill, go pacman, sana manalo ka. May mexicano pa bang available after kay Hatton? Si zorro nalang talaga ang kulang… lol

CONGRATULATIONS PACMAN!
i hate how martin nievera sang the philippine national anthem. when i heard him, i was too pissed off. in the first place, he was not there to promote himself as a singer–neither to promote an album. gosh! baka naman umaasa pa s’ya na magkakaroon s’ya ng break sa international scene out of his presence at the pacquiao-hatton fight. gosh! hindi ba n’ya nalalaman na ang “lupang hinirang” ay ‘di kanta na pang-contest o pang-concert?! at ‘di ba n’ya nalalaman na may kaparusahan ang pagkanta nito ng wala sa tamang kumpas at tono. maybe this time, many people in the world are now laughing at the filipinos because of the different renditions done by those who sang the anthem in the previous fights of paquiao (partly, this is the fault of the government!) mr. nievera’s rendition should have been okay had it not been for the beginning and, especially, the ending. now, it’s just right that the government has to axe a punishment on anyone who violated the law regarding the singing/rendition of the philippine national anthem.

I too was a bit confused why the NHI (National Heritage Institute) approved such “variation” of the Philippine National Anthem.
I think we have the best national anthem in the world – when sang properly, it is simply beautiful.

My Prediction
They’re fight would be the Last Fight….
They will both come out in the different side of stage….
Both national anthem would be sing…
As well as the US National Anthem…
There referee would be the actor look alike captain of Poseidon…
Manny will be introduced first..
then hatton will be followed….
Once the ring would be ring.. they will fight…
Hatton makes his move first doing his battery operated robot attacked… then Tumbles by right hook…
he will be counted.. and then recovered slightly..
Manny will unleashed is left supersharging punch to a covering hatton… but still be pummeled like a PAPER..
Hatton will fall and kneel and wait to count till 6 then get up…
Hatton will unleashed his hook at the final second but was snubbed by manny… coz 1st round will be over…
Big Mouth Mayweather sr, hattons trainer, will advice Hatton to wave he’s head
At the start of 2nd round , hatton will try to forged his doubling sight…
actions will happened
faking his status… the bell ringer has its stomach ache coulndt wait to got to CR do ring the bell.. signaled mr. pacquiao to paste the KAPPWAAM on hattons face..
Manny makes A Dempsey Roll strike with side step super charge waist circling LeFT Super HOOK to Tuna like jaw of mr. hatton.. which we will not believe will shatter…
Thats all… Mr hatton will Fall flat on its face… nope its back like a big tree chopped saying TIIMMMMMBEERRRRRRRRR….
While remembering Hattons Trainer advised to wave his head… he couldnt move it…
so what he did is wave his eyes…
….hehehe.. Just watch the replay…
