Featurific Plugin For Your Featured and Popular Posts
The other day, while I was doing my usual blog hopping, I came to Michael’s blog and found something cool in his sidebar – it’s an animated featured posts widget.
This simple (although about 8MB plugin) enables you to display your featured posts or popular posts in an animated flash presentation. As stated in its website – “Featurific is a FREE website plugin that displays featured items in a beautiful and professional looking flash gallery. Those who are serious about blogging, e-commerce, and web design can’t afford to miss out on this hot new trend in web presentation.“
The Featurific Featured Post Plugin for WordPress Blogs includes several presentation designs and widget templates – in various color schemes and sizes. Installation is easy. Just upload all files to your WordPress Plugin folder. It makes use of your Post Images as image thumbnails – and it also has built-in well designed images for additional thumbnail displays on the widget. You can select which posts, or categories you want to be featured, and control how many posts are included in the featured post widget.
The plugin already works without doing any custom configuration – but you can tinker it and modify or customize if you’re knowledgeable with PHP and HTML. I haven’t made any customization – however, I’m still trying to figure out how to make it appear on the sidebar (check out Bloggista.org to see a live demo).

If performance is okay, will also try this out on my other sites. You can download the Featurific WordPress Plugin here.

Yep, as far as I know – only wordpress plugin at the moment. But it will still work on Blogger or any other website – some code snippets probably, but not a plugin. The option is also included on the link provided. Just choose bet a wordpress install or not using wordpress options
Thanks, Roel
I was considering whether to post about it on my blog or just keep it a low profile heh heh
It’s a really cool plug-in. Wish they have more templates though

If you read its readme/installation notes on the website, you’ll find it out
(just have to move the code from your main index to sidebar)
I’ll write a post about this soon
