Making money with links – the smart and safe way

Sell links on every page of your site to thousands of advertisers!Recently I came across this make money, get more targeted traffic from websites and search engines combo offering from TNX.net. At first I was hesitant to try it out, because just by reading the words “sell links” already send shivers down my blogging spine. But after some thorough reading and visits to several forums, it turned out selling links is not actually evil – especially when you use the TNX.net links marketplace.

TNX.net has become very popular lately, judging from their Alexa rank over the last 4 months and the number of users who registered (as of writing, there are 55311 users, with 23,512,910 links and 34,238,193 indexed pages in the system).

TNX.net has created such a wonderful idea and developed for several months what turned out to be a fusion of “the benefits of Contextual Advertising, Text Link Brokers and Relevant Exchange of permanent non-reciprocal text links.”

What does it do?

TNX.net is a marketplace for links selling where publishers (the links sellers) can choose which advertisers (the link TNX system menubuyers) can purchase links on their web pages. And it is totally safe as the links are text based (from 30-60 characters), and no need for an XML program to be installed on your pages unlike the other links selling programs. Each web page can have different links giving webmasters/publishers more opportunity to earn. So if you have hundreds or thousands of pages on your site, the bigger is your chance to make more money from them.

Publishers can earn “POINTS” whenever they get someone buy a link on their web pages. These Points can be accumulated to buy links from other sites as well, thus enabling Publishers to actually build targeted traffic and backlinks to their site too. We all know that a site can rank well on search engines depending on quality and the quantity of backlinks it has. These points can also be exchanged for Cash in the TNX.net marketplace.

Advertisers (and Publishers) can also buy links at cheap rates. One can already buy 10,000 links for a price of 10USD. And for a limited time, TNX.net is offering new members (Publishers and Advertisers) 5,000 links from quality sites. You can still avail of this offering at DigitalPoint forum.

Why is it safe?

Links placed on website pages are from screened advertisers, meaning, only quality links will be placed on your pages. Plus, as a publisher, you have the control which links could appear on your websites. No pornographic or gambling sites allowed, including sites identified as illegal sites (selling drugs, offensive contents, etc.).

And most of all, links are non-reciprocal, as links have “no-follow” attributes. Therefore, avoiding the bad sites and putting on no-follow attributes on links, you are not going to upset the major search engines when you participate.

TNX.net also developed a tool to make links look natural links on pages where they are displayed. Surprisingly, even non-TNX members use the tool. You can find more information about this free tool here.

Who can register?

Anyone (webmasters) with a website with several pages can register as Publishers. The site doesn’t have to be ranked well. PR0 sites can also sell links fair and square. And for those webmasters who need to build quality backlinks can register as Advertisers and purchase links starting at 10USD, or exchange Points earned for quality links from other Publishers.

What are the Benefits?

The TNX system is designed to generate targeted traffic to a website who purchased a link from other sites. It offers mass placement of these links, rather than putting it on every website one by one.

However, another benefit is building backlinks. As mentioned, one of the criteria used by search engines like Google to rank websites is based on the number of “quality” backlinks to the site – meaning, based on how many other sites are linking to you. And these sites have to be good sites as well to get good ranking at search engine rank pages (SERP’s). And one should not just focused on the main page but also on the other pages of your website. There’s an informative article at DigitalPoint forum regarding this, and the following is an excerpt of it:

  1. Don’t buy (or sell) sitewide links for SERP’s. Buy links from individual pages.
  2. Don’t look for high PR links only – start your campaign for a new site with PR 0-1 and slowly move up each week as you see your rankings improve.
  3. Control link placement speed. Remember of “Too many links at once” Google filter.
  4. Control the number of outbound links on your pages and on pages where you place your links, avoid link-farms, links to gambling, pills, etc.
  5. A link from a relevant website is excellent, but a link from a quality site of other niche or other language can also boost your ranking – so don’t ignore such links.
  6. Make links look natural. Use different link anchors, promote not only your main page, but your deep pages too.
  7. Don’t do reciprocal linkexchange.

The number 7 would be an exception for me, because I chose to be a social blogger and networking with other bloggers is one of my main objectives in blogging. Also, I have decided not to include this blog in the meantime – but I have a few other sites that I could use to test the system some more.

So getting targeted traffic, getting ranked well in SERP’s and the opportunity to make a decent amount of money on links come naturally with this program.

Where to find more information and how to sign-up for the program?

You can check out TNX.net and explore the site, including the forums listed above so you can find out for yourself the opportunities awaiting for every webmaster who joins. I say this is one program worth trying out, and see if it delivers what it promises. Although getting ranked well in Search Engines is something that is not categorically promised by TNX.net, you could actually try it out and see the results.

Also, by spreading the word and inviting others to sign-up, TNX.net has a referral program that is also worth to try. One gets to earn 13.3% commission on “points” earned by your referrals.

What will happen if google knowns that you’re selling links ??

  7. bloggista on May 11, 2008 at 1:56 pm

@Atom, I think you can make a good profit if you have a forum site. It has lots of pages.

@Da_Brush, TNX uses “no-follow” attributes, it isn’t againts Google’s policy, as far as I know. Plus, you have the control which sites you want to place links in your site, so make sure only approve sites that are not in violation with search engine policies. Don’t accept links from SPLOGs, Spam sites, gambling, illegal sites, porn sites, etc.
