It’s All Geek To Me! is this year’s slogan for the 2nd Internet and Mobile Marketing Summit organized by the Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines (IMMAP). This event will happen on August 13-15, 2008 at the Grand Ballroom, Hotel Intercontinental, Makati City, Philippines. Looking at the roster of presenters, speakers and sponsors, this event is a powerhouse!
I learned this as I was browsing the Facebook pages of Ms. Janette Toral of Digital Filipino and Influential Blogger blog after I accepted her friendship invite – and it is very fortunate that there is such an event like this. Lately, I have been very busy (and very excited) about this new project that I will be launching very soon, together with some bloggers and friends. And it has something to do with Web Marketing – which is Geek to me. This project is quiet big and there is so much potential with it.
There is much I need to know about the strategies and programs to launch effective Marketing campaigns utilizing the internet and mobile media. And this Summit is the right avenue for me to learn, and at the same time, find potential Partners who will be interested on my current Project, and perhaps sign-up first Customers as well.
According to InteractiveSummit – “More and more Filipinos are truly embracing the digital lifestyle – with more than 60 million mobile users and close to 20 million internet users (23% of the population), engaging prosumers through these new digital media have become extremely important for brands and businesses.”
It’s All Geek To Me! will be about “Learning the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing as the world’s leading digital experts converge in Manila for the Philippines’ biggest and most prestigious annual conference in internet and mobile marketing” – as announced on InteractiveSummit website.
The group is also sponsoring the Boomerang Awards 2008 which claims to be The toughest interactive and mobile marketing competition in the world.
