Scam Post Wins Most Votes on YearBlook for May
That was an easy $100.00. Ted of Yearblook.com sent me an email informing that my post on Clickbank Scam got the most votes for the month of May. Well, I won US$50.00 as a reward for that post, and another US$50.00 since I submitted that article myself on Yearblook.
What is Yearblook?
Below are words that describe Yearblook, as posted on its website.
“Yearblook is a competition to find the best blog posts. Once we’ve found them, we’re going to put them in a book.”
“Yearblook is The Coliseum, and blogs are gladiators fighting to the death.”
“Yearblook is the love child of a blog, an almanac, a wildebeest, and an election… minus the wildebeest.”
“Yearblook is not Digg, nor are we trying to be.”
Yearblook, is a contest to find the best blog posts. The best post each day will be compiled into a book (a real, printed book) that is a record of the year in blogs. The Yearblook will be a history of the previous year, as seen through the minds and keyboards of the blogosphere.

Sphere: Related ContentOptimizing Website Earnings with Google Ad Manager
I have seen in several forums people were asking if it is compliant with Google Adsense TOS to deliver adsense ads using third-party ad servers, like Open Ads. While there were lots of attempts to answer the question, more publishers chose not to do it instead to avoid getting banned from the Google program.
Why ad servers seemed to be very important? Because it simplify management of ads from various advertisers. I am using an ad server (testing it) on my various sites to deliver banner and text ads from various advertisers, affiliate programs and referral products. My sidebar is even using an ad server to rotate the 125×125 banners of my blog friends (by the way, there are still available slots, so you may contact me if you are interested for a free banner exchange program).
By using an ad server, you can configure which advertiser you want to display their ads, setting price for advertising by either Cost per mille (CPM) or Cost per click (CPC). You can set how many times an ad may be displayed - in an hour, in a day or total cumulative page views, or you can limit the effective number of ad clicks before it expires. This way, you have full control of your advertising inventory and pricing, thus allowing you to maximize your profits on your websites.
Introducing the Google Ad Manager. It exactly does everything an ad server is capable of, but with more advantageous features, especially for Google Adsense Publishers. You can set to display Google Adsense ads on it, while there are no orders from Advertisers yet. Its navigation is pretty straightforward - you get the Order Tab, where you can manage your creatives (or ads) from advertisers who place an advertising slot in your ads Read more

Sphere: Related ContentMaking Money With the Pacquiao vs Diaz Fight
Latest Pacquiao - Diaz Fight Update: For the Round by Round update, check it out here.
So every Filipino is looking forward to the Manny Pacquiao vs. David Diz fight scheduled on the 28th of June, 2008 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Will Manny PACQUIAO win over the Lighweight Division Champ David DIAZ who successfully defended his title belt against Erik Morales? That remains a big question considering that Pacquiao is coming from the lighter Super Featherweight division.
Personally, I am not confident that Pacquiao will win this fight. I believe he could have tried it out first with other Lightweight fighters rather than going against Diaz who is the Champion of the Lightweight Division in his debut fight of the said division. Pacquiao’s handlers should have made some careful thoughts before pitting him for this slugfest with Diaz. What are the ODDS? I give it 6-1 in favor of Diaz over the “Pambansang Kamao” at this time. Ouchhh!
So, how can one make money with the Pacquiao vs. Diaz fight? I bet you’ll gonna bet on who’s the best bet on this fight. So it’s another betting opportunity for big time and small time bettors alike. We all know that boxing gets its tons of money from betting, no doubt about that. If you’re going to bet on this fight, whom you’ll gonna place your money with? At this time, I’m going for David Diaz. It may change as we go near the fight date.

Sphere: Related ContentRecent Alexa Shakeup
Some of you might notice a “shakeup” in Alexa’s rank figures lately. After the last major Alexa Rank update, I went from 195,973 to 179,560 since two weeks ago. Yesterday, my Alexa Toolbar and Alexa Rank Widget both gave a bit disappointing numbers - 189,144, a slide of almost 10,000.
But it was something I already expected as traffic to my blog were not as good as last month - perhaps partly because I have only written 2 or 3 posts per week for the last 3 weeks now.
But today, my Alexa Toolbar is displaying a different number as against the Alexa Rank widget. My Alexa Rank today went back to 179,560. The Alexa Site also displays the same rank but my Widget still displays 189,144.
What does this means? Is Alexa going to make another wave of major update soon? Are they going to introduce new changes to their ranking algorithm? Or this ‘erratic” and seemingly conflicting numbers between the Alexa Toolbar and the Alexa Rank Widget normal?
