Or should I call it, the race to the USD5,000.00 prize. Greatness? Probably in the world of SEO enthusiasts. Am I serious of my participation to the Busby SEO Test contest? Sort of, but my noob SEO tactics will definitely not work.
A week after my official entry as a noob participant to the Busby SEO Test contest, nothing amazing happen really except for the lucky number that is my ranking as of this writing of my Bloggista.org blog - my site entry to the Busby SEO Test competition.
As promised, I will be posting the progress weekly. From 108th spot last week, my Busby SEO Test entry is currently ranked at number 69 position. Pinayspeak is still solid at number one, but the SEO Masters from Indonesia are closing in.
What did I do to improve my standing when the keyphrase Busby SEO Test is searched in Google? Nothing, honestly, except for the following:

The Busby SEO Test contest has been running since 1st of October 2008 and promises exciting prizes to SEO enthusiasts who will dominate the Top 5 pages in Google when the keyphrase busby seo test is searched. The contest ends on 31st of January 2009.
This is actually the second competition this year sponsored by Busby Web Solutions. I have been reluctant to join, since first, I don’t have “technical” knowhow on search engine optimization techniques, and second, I don’t have the time to really promote my entry and ask people to give me backlinks for keyword Busby SEO Test.
The first time I joined the competition way back in June, I finished poorly, being only in the Top 100 finishers. This time, I will be using my “all about everything” blog at Bloggista.org. I have started over the weekend changing some basic keywords of Bloggista.org, changed its Blog name from Bloggista.org | Intense Passion for Blogging to Busby SEO Test | Intense Passion for Blogging.
I am still very far away from winning the top 5 prizes, as Bloggista.org is only ranked at 108th spot as of this writing. There are a lot of SEO masters joining this competition, and notably, lots of Filipino bloggers and SEO masters as well.

Well, after lots of thinking, evaluating and coordinating with friends - finally we have the Over-all winner of the Definition of Bloggista contest.
Special thanks to all of the participants - all entries were amazing, but I got to announce just a single winner. The prizes aren’t that big to be shared by many winners anyway. My trip here in Batangas for a Client Project also gave me time to thoroughly select the winner, of course taking into considerations the following: definition personal preference, voting results and recommendations from friends.
Special thanks also to the generous sponsors who helped made this little contest successful and fun.
Major Sponsors:
- Ruby of Pinay Mommy Online
- Bong (JB) of ReapMoneyOnline
- April of Blog Affiliate Marketing

No not yet… I’m really having a hard time deciding which entry will eventually emerge as the Overall Winner of the Bloggista Definition Contest. That is why I sought the help of some close friends to give their valuable inputs and recommend who’s definition should be rewarded with the USD100.00 prize, plus Hosting with Domain - with 1.5 Terrabytes of disk space, unlimited subdomains, 15 Terrabytes of bandwidth; a banner/logo design, one year of free 125×125 banner ad here at Bloggista.com, plus 5,000 Entrecard Credits (now this one’s a big problem as the recent Entrecard Policy prohibits transferring of more than 1,000 EC in a week).
But here’s the list of the Top 10 participants of the Bloggista Definition Contest. Over-all winner should be announced by end of the week. Nine (9) of these Finalists will receive USD10.00, a 125×125 banner ad rotation for 6 months, and 500 Entrecard Credits.

Yes, you read it right. Help Bloggista.com choose the best definition of the word “Bloggista” from these great Definition of Bloggista contest participants, and get a chance to win one of three (3) domains of your choice (limited only to .com, .org, .net or .ws domains, hosting not included but you may want to check out my Free Hosting offer as well).
The prize isn’t extravagant but is just a fun way of thanking those who participate in this “historic” (LOL) event at Bloggista.com. Here’s how you can earn points (maximum of 3 points each) and increase your chances of winning a domain name:
- Cast your vote, leave a comment about your choice and you get one (1) entry
- Subscribe to Bloggista.com feeds by email and you get another entry.
- Blog about this post and you win another entry.
Note: Please also include in your comment if you have subscribed and/or made a post about the contest.
Of course, contest participants can vote for their own entries (and they must - LOL). The entry with the most votes, however, will not automatically be the Over-all Winner of the Bloggista Definition Contest, but will certainly get big plus points when selecting the ultimate winner.
The contest Entries:
