Deploy Your dotCom Sites Easily With Free Website Templates

Free Website Template For most part, getting a cool good looking website is a challenge to most webpreneurs and internet junkies. One aspect of driving good traffic and make your visitors stay in your website is attributed to having “handsome” looking web pages.

For internet entrepreneurs like me (well, after 6 months of regular online presence – I have considered myself an internet entrepreneur already and still trying to make money online), getting the best domain names and making them look good are essential to increase your chance of success.

And designing real good looking websites isn’t everyone’s thing - unless you’re a ChiQ Montes or a Bryan Gardner. Fortunately, just a few googling and you would get a listing of thousands of websites offering free website templates. However not all free website templates are created equal – and the designs should not be restricted to just a few theme and appearance. The website template, even if it’s free, should give your site a unique personality, and represents your idea of having a great looking website.

This blog is using a free template but it’s the closest to represent my preferences on how my site should look like. Even if it’s free, and probably lots of other bloggers are using the same template, somehow if you’re a regular visitor here, you immediately identify the site once it gets loaded (well, I’m transferring to a new host for a faster performance – but it’s a different story I got to write soon).

Bloggista.com Upgraded to Wordpress MU 2.6

StopHello folks! If you are experiencing some problems with this blog, or may be unable to load the pages for a few minutes, it’s because Bloggista.com is upgrading to the newest version of Wordpress MU 2.6.

This should be done in less than 15 minutes. 5 hours.

Update: Whew, the plugins blew it off. Upgrading to new Wordpress version was a jiffy but upgrading the plugins weren’t. Some didn’t worked after the upgrade. So, I got to let go of the Popularity Post by Alex King, Gregarious, WP-Cache (replaced by WP-Super-Cache), and a few more.

Next Activity: Moving this blog to a new host - that’ll be in about 3 days.

The 2nd Internet and Mobile Marketing Summit 2008

2nd Internet and Mobile Marketing Summit 2008It’s All Geek To Me! is this year’s slogan for the 2nd Internet and Mobile Marketing Summit organized by the Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines (IMMAP). This event will happen on August 13-15, 2008 at the Grand Ballroom, Hotel Intercontinental, Makati City, Philippines. Looking at the roster of presenters, speakers and sponsors, this event is a powerhouse!
I learned this as I was browsing the Facebook pages of Ms. Janette Toral of Digital Filipino and Influential Blogger blog after I accepted her friendship invite - and it is very fortunate that there is such an event like this. Lately, I have been very busy (and very excited) about this new project that I will be launching very soon, together with some bloggers and friends. And it has something to do with Web Marketing - which is Geek to me. This project is quiet big and there is so much potential with it.

There is much I need to know about the strategies and programs to launch effective Marketing campaigns utilizing the internet and mobile media. And this Summit is the right avenue for me to learn, and at the same time, find potential Partners who will be interested on my current Project, and perhaps sign-up first Customers as well.

How Big Is The World Wide Web? G,ooo, ooo, ooo, ooo.gle Knows

Google 1t!Still on Google. The official Google Blog announced an eye-popping, mind-boggling milestone recently that left their search engineers in awe - they have indexed a trillion unique URL’s on the world wide web at once!

Well they explained that they were not indexing all those trillion pages, as some of them are “duplicates” but still, the unique links they processed reach a trillion mark even after removing those duplicates. And in fact, its even more - they do not intend to count all, but only those links that are relevant to every search made on Google.

And by how many webpages the internet is growing everyday? Google estimates it to several billion pages a day! So its look like the world wide web is going to be a universe in itself for a few years from now.
