Watch Obama’s inauguration live via online streaming. No doubt, Obama will be the first US President whose inauguration will be watched by hundreds of millions of people around the world using the fusion of traditional media, live tv global broadcast and live internet feed/online streaming.
By the time I wake up in the morning Manila time, the inauguration ceremonies would have started and by the time I’ll get to the office, I’m hoping I could still watch Barack Obama’s inauguration online via the live stream below. (Darn! I can’t seem to make the embed codes to work here opps! It’s working now! - LOL).
Update on Obama’s Inauguration time/schedule:
Barack Obama’s swearing-in ceremony starts at 11:30 a.m. EST (US Eastern Standard Time), on January 20, 2009, and the actual swearing-in should be at around noon. That’s about 13 hours time difference, so if Obama delivers his Inaugural Speech at around 12:00nn on January 20, 2009, that’s 1:00am January 21, 2009 Philippine time.

Planning to run a government post in 2010 Elections? Then first, according to the Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago, you need to have the 3 most important things: first - money, second - money, and third - money.
That’s a lot of money every candidate needs in order to win in the Philippine elections. And he needs enough money to give himself an armored vehicle too.
Recently, orders are up for armored vehicles from several politicians and aspirants in preparation for the 2010 elections. Most of them are saying having an armored vehicle is a must.
Armoring a front portion of a standard-sized SUV costs about USD7,500.00 - almost enough to buy you a good second-hand car. Full vehicle armoring could well cost between USD40,000 to USD80,000, depending on the size of the car or vehicle.

Brother Mike Velarde is considered to be one of the serious contenders in the 2010 Philippine Presidential Election, and is ‘rumored’ to get Erap, the former Philippine President Joseph Estrada as his Vice-Presidential running mate.
Velarde, an Evangelist and a businessman who is into Real Estate Development and other business ventures leads the Catholic group El Shaddai which claims to have millions of members. His popularity as a “theologian” has earned him power and influence - economically and politically.
Do you think a Velarde-Estrada tandem appeals to voters? Will you vote for them? Feel free to post your thoughts.

I just can’t help it but blog (and rant) what I saw today on Philippine TV. At long last, former Department of Agriculture Undersecretary Jocelyn “Joc-joc” Bolante appeared before the Blue Ribbon Committee of the Philippine House of Senate.
The Committee is chaired by Senator Alan Peter Cayetano - who refused to inhibit from “chairing” the Investigation at the request of Senator Panfilo Lacson - citing the fact that Senator Cayetano was one of the alleged beneficiaries of the 728-Million peso “Fertilizer Scam“.
The Senate Investigation started with Senator Cayetano explaining to JocJoc that the Senate presumes his innocence and that the Senate is not out to convict him - a rather confusing statement when in fact the Senate already convicted Bolante and even issued a warrant for his arrest.
Then Bolante was allowed to speak and surprisingly, thanked the Senate for its humanitarian and fair handling of his case - amusing and amazing, when in fact he accused the Senate of being vindictive and politically inclined before the US Courts when he applied for political asylum - which was eventually rejected.

In less than 24 hours, the US Presidential Election has been decided in favor of Barack Obama. Even though some US States are still counting votes, John McCain already conceded as Obama already gathered 338 Electoral Votes, more than the 270 Electoral Votes needed to win the US Presidency.
Whats amazing with the US Presidential Election is that, even if you lose in the Popularity Votes, but reach 270 Electoral Votes, you still become the most powerful man in America, perhaps the World. This election however, Obama still won in the Popularity Voting with just a few margin of less than 5% over McCain’s. Latest official tally from Yahoo, based on the results provided by AP and several networks shows that Obama gathered 55,396,945 votes, or a total of 52% (equivalent to 338 electoral votes) and McCain got 50,660,787 votes, or a total of 47% (equivalent to only 141 electoral votes).
If compared to the Presidential Elections in the Philippines, that less 5 million vote difference will surely trigger widespread protests and charges of cheating on both camps - perhaps accusing a Presidential candidate to have done a Garci strategy.
