onlinetoyshop 250x153 Where to Buy Toys for Kids this ChristmasIt’s December and it’s Christmas season once again. For those with the money to spare, finding the best deals for Tech products and gadgets would be a challenge. And buying the best but cheapest toys for kids is not an exception.

With online shopping now becoming popular, aside from being able to get the best prices, it is more convenient than going to the malls. Also, you can actually plan ahead what to buy, and manage your budget well, and find the best bargains at a few clicks of the mouse. Online shopping I suppose will also lessen “impulsive” buying.

So where to look for the best toys and bargains this Christmas for your kids? Amazon is launching its Holiday Toy List program so you can plan early on which toys to buy this Christmas. Click on the banner to check for more details.

Angels and Demons Movie Trailer

illuminati small Angels and Demons Movie TrailerTwo weeks ago while watching the funny movie Madagascar 2 movie, I was so thrilled and ecstatic when a familiar structure was flashed on the big screen - the Vatican steeple, and the “black smoke” that came out of the window. I shouted “This is it!“, the movie that I have been waiting for - the big screen adaptation and the “prequel” to the Da Vinci Code all written by Dan Brown - Angels and Demons.

To those who have read Dan Brown’s bestseller, Angels and Demons, a movie version is certainly something to look forward to. After all, Angels and Demons has all the makings of a great movie. The plot, the action, and tour to the Vatican City makes you think you’re watching a movie by just the reading it.

I rarely read novels - got to admit I’d rather spend my free time earning passive income than reading novels. But Dan Brown’s only one of the few authors that will make me forget everything and just read his story. I also made sure to read Angels and Demons before reading Da Vinci Code. His other books, Digital Fortress and Deception Point which were not as popular were also my favorites. It took me only 2 days to read each of these novels from cover to cover.

wp27 stayupdated 250x165 The New Wordpress 2.7 Beta: Better Than Before?Yesterday, All Souls Day (for Catholics) I downloaded the latest Wordpress update, 2.7-Beta 1 and installed it in my new site at www.blogjoints.com Site Blog. The installation, just like the previous Wordpress editions, took only less than 5 minutes.

The Dashboard layout has been changed, its prettier than the previous versions, however, personally, I don’t like the Sidebar layout. Most of the time, you have to scoll down your mouse to click on the Settings options. Previous versions (Wordpress 2.6.3 below) used the Tab format so all Settings (notably the plugin settings) are displayed on top.

nbcolympics 205x250 Olympics Is Good Business for NBC Universal

NBC Universal, a unit of General Eleectric Co. paid about US900M to secure the rights to broadcast the Beijing Olympic games and results and has since sold out more than a Billion dollars in advertising alone. For the first two days, it has earned a total of 114 Million viewers, about 20 Million more than the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.

Its huge audiences is being helped by the extravagant Beijing Olympics opening ceremonies and the world-breaking feat of Michael Phelps. There’s a good chance this year’s Olympics Coverage will set a record of the biggest TV ratings for any Olympics Summer Games.

NBC Universal plans to air a total of 3,600 hours of coverage between August 8 and August 24 accross its broadcast, Cable TV and online outlets.

Now that’s a lot of money. Jump here to check out the 2008 Olympics Results and Overall Medal Standings. And oh, by the way, the Olympics Medal Widget is provided by NBC too.

Free Website Template For most part, getting a cool good looking website is a challenge to most webpreneurs and internet junkies. One aspect of driving good traffic and make your visitors stay in your website is attributed to having “handsome” looking web pages.

For internet entrepreneurs like me (well, after 6 months of regular online presence – I have considered myself an internet entrepreneur already and still trying to make money online), getting the best domain names and making them look good are essential to increase your chance of success.

And designing real good looking websites isn’t everyone’s thing - unless you’re a ChiQ Montes or a Brian Gardner. Fortunately, just a few googling and you would get a listing of thousands of websites offering free website templates. However not all free website templates are created equal – and the designs should not be restricted to just a few theme and appearance. The website template, even if it’s free, should give your site a unique personality, and represents your idea of having a great looking website.

This blog is using a free template but it’s the closest to represent my preferences on how my site should look like. Even if it’s free, and probably lots of other bloggers are using the same template, somehow if you’re a regular visitor here, you immediately identify the site once it gets loaded (well, I’m transferring to a new host for a faster performance – but it’s a different story I got to write soon).
