Standby For A Faster Bloggista.com
Bloggista.com is moving to a faster webhost so expect some weird stuffs going on around here, maybe some period of “nothingness” and “emptiness” for a couple of days. I have been reading lots of tips and articles on “How to Move Your Wordpress blog to a new host“. Hope it’s not as painful as Michael Jackson losing his skin pigments.
But I ain’t putting this blog site on “lockdown”, so feel free to leave your comments, rants, love messages and, o yeah, donations. LOL.
Thanks for your continued support by visiting this site even though at times its loading like forever. So there! See you on the other side!

Hello folks! If you are experiencing some problems with this blog, or may be unable to load the pages for a few minutes, it’s because Bloggista.com is upgrading to the newest version of Wordpress MU 2.6.
This should be done in less than 15 minutes. 5 hours.
Update: Whew, the plugins blew it off. Upgrading to new Wordpress version was a jiffy but upgrading the plugins weren’t. Some didn’t worked after the upgrade. So, I got to let go of the Popularity Post by Alex King, Gregarious, WP-Cache (replaced by WP-Super-Cache), and a few more.
Next Activity: Moving this blog to a new host - that’ll be in about 3 days.

Some of you might notice a “shakeup” in Alexa’s rank figures lately. After the last major Alexa Rank update, I went from 195,973 to 179,560 since two weeks ago. Yesterday, my Alexa Toolbar and Alexa Rank Widget both gave a bit disappointing numbers - 189,144, a slide of almost 10,000.
But it was something I already expected as traffic to my blog were not as good as last month - perhaps partly because I have only written 2 or 3 posts per week for the last 3 weeks now.
But today, my Alexa Toolbar is displaying a different number as against the Alexa Rank widget. My Alexa Rank today went back to 179,560. The Alexa Site also displays the same rank but my Widget still displays 189,144.
What does this means? Is Alexa going to make another wave of major update soon? Are they going to introduce new changes to their ranking algorithm? Or this ‘erratic” and seemingly conflicting numbers between the Alexa Toolbar and the Alexa Rank Widget normal?

Lately, I have acquired the other two Bloggista domains, Bloggista.org and Bloggista.net. I don’t know if I made a wise decision and investment, but it’s pretty cool to see I got these three domains all from the earnings I made over the past months from blogging.
I am building Bloggista as a key blogging keyword, being a potential alternate definition of “blogger”. In the Philippines, and perhaps in Spanish speaking countries, the word “bloggista” is synonymous with the word “blogger” - at times, may even denotes some level of passion into blogging. It can be compared to the word “Fashionista”, a person who got a deep “passion” for fashion and style.
Bloggista may be even considered as a “portmanteau” of blog and gist which could mean “a true essence of blogging”. I hope to see this word accepted into Wikipedia, and some Read more
